A little about me…

“these are a few of my favourite things…”

To be honest, I never used to fully comprehend the point of blogs. I could not understand who would have the desire to read an article written by an amateur writer like myself. Luckily, my mindset took a complete U turn and I’m an avid blog reader now. I’ve made this to be a little “window into my life”- so I hope that you enjoy it and continue to read my posts.

My name is Jane, I’m a 19 year old student at the University of Bristol studying English Literature. I have lived in England my whole life- situated in Nottingham with my parents and older sister. I studied at Trent College for the entirety of my secondary education; achieving 3 A*’s in English, History and Geography.

After completing my A Levels I moved to the furthermost point from my hometown for a year- Melbourne, Australia. If all the holidays I have been fortunate enough to go on did not feed my desire to travel the world previously; my gap year certainly arose the feeling often referred to as ‘wanderlust’. My adoration of different cultures, cuisines and histories have a really special place in my heart. I cannot wait to explore more countries as time goes on.

Working and living in Australia taught me so many things about life and about myself (I can your eyes rolling at the cliché)… And I can safely say that at this point in my life, I have never been happier. I account this partially to the delicious and nutritious food I consume and my fitness regime- things that I will write about on here. I’ll share my loves of food, new recipes and workouts that keep me feeling active and upbeat.

If you share my interests in health & fitness etc. this is the right place to be. I’m still that amateur writer who is the furthest thing from being a dietian or personal trainer. But I’d love to inspire you to love yourselves and the life that you are lucky enough to have.

Just to sign out, one of my favourite quotes by the legend, Albert Einstein-

“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.”

Lots of Love, Jane xo
